Learn about our passionate team, and how you can help!
I’m Lisa Papple, and in December 2019, I began my journey rescuing senior dogs. It started with Diego, an adorable little chihuahua whose owners surrendered him at age 14. He was partially blind, confused, depressed, and heartbroken. I knew I needed to do something for this sweet boy, so I brought him home. We shared almost three months together before Diego crossed the rainbow bridge. He died peacefully. TM Crew Mission Statement 60K more dogs in shelters this year vs last year 670K dogs euthanized each year in my arms knowing that he was loved. Since then, I haven’t stopped rescuing and fostering senior dogs and have helped 30...so far!
The number of dogs in shelters has surged in the last two years. After seeing the desperate need to provide a safe place for abandoned, homeless, or displaced dogs, we have decided to build a senior dog sanctuary. We are in the process of filing for our nonprofit status and will become official in 60 days! We identified five acres of land to purchase in Joshua Tree, but we need your help.
The TM Crew’s mission is to make sure that every senior dog lives out his/her life to the fullest, surrounded by love until the very end. They will never be alone or neglected, and we will make sure they cross the rainbow bridge with dignity and peace.
As we build the sanctuary there are many things needed! Medical supplies, food, short term and long term shelter, fencing to keep everyone safe and so much more!
